VAT, reverse charge and CIS for heating & gas engineers
Installing heat pumps in homes is zero-rated as an energy-saving material until 31 March 2027, then due to go to 5%. When the installation is zero-rated, it covers the labour and the materials that are part of it.
Gas boiler replacements are generally standard-rated at 20%.
